Solstice at Twin Lakes Beach

6/24/2011

The heat wave broke on the solstice and the fog crept in to envelop us in mist and magic on the beach. There were multiple bonfires at the beach just South of the boat harbor. People were singing, playing ukulele (side note, there are more ukulele players in Santa Cruz than anywhere else on the planet) and doing fire spinning.

My friends and I enjoyed great food, warm fire and ritual celebration around the longest day. It was good.
